73rd Annual CTSC Banquet — May 20, 2019

Every spring for the past 73 years, the CTSC has hosted its annual Scholarship & Achievement Awards banquet. Here the CTSC presents its annual Professionals Awards as well as distributing scholarships to Northeast Ohio's best and the brightest STEM students – as nominated by their teachers. Every year we have been honored to host outstanding keynote speakers. Our 2019 keynote was presented by Dr. Julian Earls, Retired Director of NASA Glenn Research Center and Executive in Residence Emeritus of Cleveland State University.

The 74th Annual Scholarship & Achievement Awards Banquet
scheduled for May 11, 2020 has been canceled.
Scholarships for 2020 will still be awarded, but at a later date to be determined.
Scholarship applicants will be notified by email of the latest developments.

Every year, the Cleveland Technical Societies Council invites teachers at high schools from throughout Northeast Ohio to nominate one high school junior as the outstanding STEM student in their school.

These students are designated Honor Juniors and are invited to the CTSC’s Annual Scholarship and Awards Event in the spring.   The Honor Junior and the nominating teacher are invited to attend the event as guests of the CTSC.

The following year, these Honor Juniors are eligible to apply for one of the CTSC scholarships.

Every year the CTSC awards $1,000 merit-based scholarships to the top STEM students from throughout Northeast Ohio. Applicants for these scholarships have been selected by their teachers as the best and brightest of their classes.

An independent committee of CTSC representatives evaluates the scholarship applications and selects recipients.  All recipients are invited to attend that year’s Scholarship and Achievement Awards banquet to accept their awards.

Only CTSC Honor Juniors are eligible to apply for these scholarships.  Honor Juniors are notified in late January of their senior years with application information.

At the annual CTSC Scholarship and Achievement Awards spring banquet, representatives from area colleges and universities have an opportunity to meet directly with the top science and math students in Northeast Ohio to acquaint them their various science-related curricula.

Participating colleges can be assured of meeting only with the best and the brightest STEM students in Northeast Ohio and their nominating teachers.
