Meet the CTSC Scholarship Class of 2020

Although we were not able to hold our annual banquet, we still provided scholarships to deserving students.

And here they are…

Kelly Boddy

Magnificat High School

I would like to thank the Cleveland Regional Council of Science Teachers for their generous donation. My current goal is to receive my undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and a certificate in Spanish as a minor. After this, I hope to attend medical school, and then become either a pediatrician or a doctor in sports medicine, and treat patients who face language barriers.

Dylan Forbes

Brecksville-Broadview Heights

High School

Thank you Lubrizol for generously donating to my future education. I will continue to pursue my passion for science at Purdue University with a major in chemistry. I may even work for you one day as a research chemist.

Ariela Getting

Kirtland High School

To the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, thank you so much for my scholarship. I am honored to be receiving this scholarship and I am grateful for your help in continuing my education. I will be attending Cornell University this fall to major in biomedical engineering.

Hitrik Gupta

Nordonia High School

I will be attending the Rochester Institute of Technology where my goal is to become an innovator in artificial intelligence as a computer scientist as well as to become a legal expert within the field. I would like to thank the Instrumentation Society of America and Ms. Harriet Radvansky for selecting me to receive this scholarship. I promise I will not let you down!

Josh O'Halla

Rocky River High School

I would like to thank the Society of Automotive Engineers for awarding me this scholarship. It will really help me offset the cost of college. I look forward to continuing my education in engineering this fall at The Ohio State University.

Karli Pirnat

Chardon High School

Thank you to the American Chemical Society for my scholarship donation. I’m extremely grateful and will be putting it to great use this fall at The Ohio State University where I will be majoring in biochemistry.

Brett Salisbury

Manchester High School

Thank you Lubrizol Foundation for this generous donation! I am amazed that a stranger would give me so much and relieved because I can now afford the supplies I need for college. I will be attending Ohio State University to major in chemical engineering. I will strive to put the money to good use, learning so I can improve the world as an engineer.

Rebecca Shick

Lake Catholic High School

I am both thrilled and honored to receive a scholarship so graciously donated by the Lubrizol Foundation. I plan to put it to good use at Case Western Reserve University to study chemical engineering. Thank you for your generosity and its contributions to my education.

Robert Sunderhaft

Kenston High School

Thank you ASM for the generous scholarship for college. Thank you also for the amazing experiences I had at ASM at the 2018 Eisenman Materials Camp. I will always remember the incredible experiments, fantastic mentors (thanks Frauke) and amicable students. I plan to attend Ohio State University to study data analytics and computer science.
